*_Position Summary_*:
Hasadministrativeresponsibilityfornursingstandardsandpracticeregardlessofthenurse’spracticeareaor reportingrelationship.Directshospitalnursingactivitieswithinthecontextofhospitalpoliciesandprocedures.Thispositionisaccountable for the operations ofthe inpatient and outpatient nursingunitsand other defined ancillary departments and isresponsible for the quality assessment,implementation,coordinationandevaluation,andstandardizationof system-wide inpatientcare.
* Ensurescontinuousandtimelynursingservicestopatients.
* Ensuresnursingstandards,practices,policies,andprocedures,inaccordancewithallapplicablelaws,regulatoryand accreditation requirements are consistent with current research findings and national professional standards.
* DirectsnursingservicePerformanceImprovementactivities.
* Sustain regulatory compliance/survey readiness CMS/TJC
* Actively participates in hospital leadership functions.
