Overview
**Description**
The Manager – Bioinformatics Clinical Genomics is responsible for delivery and oversight of clinical genomics interpretation and reporting software systems, and for day-to-day technical and operational supervision of a team of software engineers and bioinformatics scientists supporting clinical genomics. The Manager – Bioinformatics Clinical Genomics will lead the implementation and ongoing support of software developed in-house and licensed genomics/bioinformatics applications, bioinformatics computing infrastructure, and pipeline development to support RT-PCR, gene expression, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), microarray, and other genomic and molecular analysis technologies in support of the PSJH-wide Clinical Genomics service.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree The equivalent of MA/MS degree in Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
+ 8 years Software development, software engineering, computer programming, software development lifecycle best practices (dev, test, QA, production & operational deployment).
+ 5 years Modern web-based software engineering languages (i.e. Java, Ruby, Python) and tools (integrated development environment, software testing tools).
+ 3 years Software engineering team management & technical leadership.
+ 2 years Cloud-based software development environments, databases, and data analysis environments (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud).
+ 1 year Operational experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master’s Degree The equivalent of MA/MS degree in Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
