**Department Details**
Works closely with the medical equipment planners to assist in the purchasing of hospital equipment. This person will be instrumental in the purchase order process, follow up on lead-times, and ensure deliveries. Remote work option once training is complete.
* Process furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) orders needed for projects.
* Maintain purchase orders and address purchasing issues until the products are delivered
* Receive and ensure invoices are paid to close the purchase order
**Job Summary**
Primary duties include working closely with Medical Equipment Planners (MEP) to process furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) orders needed for projects. Maintain purchase orders and address purchasing issues until the products are delivered, received and invoices are paid to close the purchase order. Conducts basic procurement procedures and techniques as needed. Evaluates and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations using established resources. Assists Procure to Pay in reconciliations of invoice discrepancies and/or other needs. Adhere to value analysis formularies and enterprise standards when purchasing equipment and supplies. Develop and manage medical equipment budgets and equipment planning timelines. Report on purchase order (PO) status, pricing changes and savings as needed. Assist in medical equipment and furniture inventories and documentation, where necessary.
Ensure work, including procurement, delivery and installation of equipment and furniture is completed in a time frame that supports the project schedule and budgets. Maintain records of goods ordered and received. Maintains accurate project equipment list reports. Create requisitions per MEP direction for FFE purchases in a timely manner. Follow up on past due purchase orders and resolve shipment errors with suppliers
Understands medical equipment planning, architectural processes and can read and interpret blue prints and other architectural designs. Participate in development of equipment planning and project management standards and processes in pursuit of excellent quality control and customer service. Plans and implements recurring work using established procedures, conferring with Category Management leadership as necessary. Possesses excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Performs other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of higher education, leadership may consider three years applicable experience in supply chain and purchasing.
