Overview

Glenn Linsky – State Farm Agency, located in central Plano, TX, is seeking a Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative who has a current State Farm alias, and staff agreement. This is a half day position, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.


The job is low pressure, and focuses on customer service of property and casualty insurance policyholders for a well-established State Farm Agent. We are a small agency with a very pleasant low-pressure but caring, and professional environment.   • State Farm experience, current State Farm alias and Staff Agreement.
  • Active P&C insurance license.
  • Ability to commute to our agency (this is NOT remote).
  • Available to work a part-time schedule of 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Monday – Friday in our Plano, TX office.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Answer phones and greet clients.
  • Ability to accurately quote and write various kinds of auto and fire policies.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.

Requirements

  • State Farm experience
  • State Farm Licensed Staff Agreement
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and listening
  • Self-motivated
  • Detail oriented
  • Proactive in problem solving
  • Ability to assess customer needs and conduct effective interviews
  • Ability to effectively relate to a customer
  • Property Casualty license required
  • Life and Health license required


This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm.
