*_Position Summary_*:

The Referral Coordinator is an essential part of a multidisciplinary team that provides patients with high-quality patient care. The referral Coordinator will process all inbound referrals from community referring providers and primary care providers. The referral Coordinator will coordinate and assure the smooth flow of the referral and authorization process to meet the needs of our patients, community specialists, and physicians to represent a professional and positive experience. This position will be responsible for inbound referrals and scheduling testing and procedures as ordered. The candidate must be at ease interacting with patients and physicians and create relationships that will promote a pleasant and caring practice. This role also includes ensuring that other positions within the practice are being covered and providing a smooth and positive atmosphere for patients, physicians, and fellow workers. Clinical patient care may be required occasionally to meet the clinic’s needs.

*Minimum Work Experience*

Minimum 1-2 years of referral experience.

Minimum 1-2 years of Medical Office experience. Work experience in a surgical practice is preferred. Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
