Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, specifically dozers, and have a thorough understanding of safety protocols and construction site regulations. As a Dozer Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating dozers to move and level earth and perform various construction tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operate dozers to move and grade earth, rocks, and other materials according to construction plans and specifications
– Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on dozers to ensure safe and efficient operation
– Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the construction site
– Communicate with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines
– Use GPS and other technology to accurately complete grading and leveling tasks
– Perform minor repairs and maintenance on dozers as needed
– Keep records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance for reporting purposes
– Participate in regular safety meetings and training to stay updated on safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dozers in a construction or similar setting
– Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols and regulations
– Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
– Proficient in using GPS and other technology for grading and leveling tasks
– Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements
– Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating dozers
– Ability to climb in and out of equipment and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
– Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain
