*POSITION SUMMARY:*
The Director of Physician Services Revenue Cycle is responsible for improvement and maintenance of the physician practice revenue cycle and other operational activities that support the overall objectives of Physician Services as it relates to Revenue Cycle Operations. Employee will strive to continuously streamline operations, improve workflows and processes, collaborate with centralized business offices (CBO’s) leadership and ensure the Revenue Cycle Guidelines are updated and followed. The Director is instrumental in driving the adoption of best practices to ensure Lifepoint leads the industry in its collection of net revenues.

* Guides the development of revenue cycle goals by position and the creation of visible performance measurement systems that enable every employee to perform their respective duties.
* Drives the adoption of best practices to ensure that the organization leads the industry in its collection of net revenues versus gross based achievable benchmarks (including but not limited to, Unapplied Cash, PFS analysis, RCH conversions and Provider Based Billing).
* Ensures the adoption of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) processes that are strongly endorsed by physicians and providers, resulting in the most accurate documentation and coding of procedures.
* Assists with the managed care process to ensure the organization maintains reimbursement rates on par with our contractual agreements.
* Directs and oversees overall policies, objectives, and initiatives to optimize patient financial interaction.
* Collaborate with LifePoint operational partners and revenue cycle management to identify, review, prioritize and approve operational maintenance projects incorporating budget guidelines and resources availability.
* Participate in vendor management and business partner activities as applicable.
* Maintains and monitors accounts receivable on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
* Oversees preparation and processing of insurance claims, patient statements, and financial analysis statistical reports.
* Directs employees and balances manpower coverage in response to workload requirements.
* Evaluates employee performance and provides recommendations to VP of Physician Services Revenue Cycle based on objective measurements as well as subjective criteria.
* Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensures quality standards.
* Responsible for hiring, terminating, training, and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Education:* This position requires a minimum of bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience. Graduate of a program in business, preferred.
Masters, preferred.
*Experience:* A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing physician revenue cycle.
*License or Certification*: CPC and CPB Preferred
