Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a Registered Radiology Technologist takes diagnostic radiographs and assists with maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Takes diagnostic radiographs of various parts of the body to assist the medical staff in diagnosing disease, injury and the location of foreign bodies. Develops and prepares films for interpretation. Maintains supplies and cleans equipment in assigned areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Current Radiologic Technology student who is in good standing.
Experience: Minimum of one-and-a-half years as a Radologic Technology student. Upon hire, the student must complete competencies in the various radiologic exams being performed.
Life Safety Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification current and maintained.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
2. Ability to see colors, see at least 1 mm squares.
3. Ability to reach overhead.
4. Ability to remain calm, continue to function effectively and develop priorities during highly stressful situations.
5. Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal media.
6. Ability to move and operate equipment and carry supplies.
