Overview
Plans, coordinates, and implements nutritional therapy services for assigned populations.
Assesses patient’s nutritional status and needs.
Develops and implements patient care plans and assesses patient responses.
Formulates or approves patient menus for Regular or therapeutic diets
Patient Education on Medical Nutrition Therapy
Develops and implements patient care plans and assesses patient responses
Able to manage enteral and parental nutrition therapy independently
Able to independently practice patient care needs related to medical nutrition therapy
*Minimum Education*
Bachelors degree Dietician/Nutritionist preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
*Required Skills*
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licenses: License as dietician in the state of Tennessee
Certified Diabetes Educator Preferred
