**THE ROLE**

This position is accountable for the following key strategic functions across the Providence Saint Joseph Health’s enterprise business applications’ footprint:

+ Enterprise IS leader for Finance and REH ERP applications including McKesson, ParEx, used by legacy SJH

+ Enterprise IS leader for all Finance and REH Oracle Cloud applications

+ ERP Application strategy and roadmap – Tegria integration and PGC

+ Pre and Post M&A ERP conversion strategy for growth and affiliations across FIN, REH, HCM & WFM

+ Program Lead of Genesis across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Payroll and Workforce Management

+ Planning and implementation of complex multi-function transformation initiatives like BPO, Demand Planning Strategy, Warehouse strategy etc

+ Service delivery and support of business applications for Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) and affiliated organizations

+ ERP strategy and deployment for Providence Global Center

+ Business management activities like financial management (CapEx & OpEx planning and tracking), operations management, EBA PGC growth planning

Essential job responsibilities include:

+ Strategy development and deployment

Accountabilities include the following operational categories:

+ Effective management of vendor relationships.

This position is responsible for leading, mentoring and developing leaders, managers as well as other staff. This position will work in close collaboration with executives, directors, managers and other leaders and staff across the system.

This position will create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues involving business and information services operations and support. It will also work to standardize complex and disparate processes and methodologies related to application management such as design, deployment, support and life cycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

+ Strategic

+ Responsible for the development of enterprise business application digital transformation strategy and roadmap

+ Develops long term strategy of AI, ML, Blockchain and RPA technologies

+ Responsible for the pre M&A due diligence and post M&A integration strategy for new affiliations and maintenance of legacy systems

+ Responsible for the post M&A technical conversion of new affiliations

+ Create and execute the long term enterprise application integration strategy program for EBA operations and technology

+ Maintains relationships with key business partners and other senior leaders in the IT industry in order to leverage best practices, evaluate and manage emerging application technologies.

+ Directs adoption process for introducing and implementing new services, technologies and/or applications into Information Services.

+ Implements appropriate service delivery models for core application functions in defining, delivering, and improving services for the enterprise and its customers.

+ Responsible for working with leaders of IS Strategy and Business Development in ensuring adherence to standards, and continuously evaluating the effectiveness of application systems.

+ Ensures that the Applications division supports IS services and systems effectively and meets the needs of the business.

+ Participates in the development of the overall IS strategic plan by identifying needed application management strategies and projects that support business needs.

+ Manage customer expectations regarding the success of each Information Services strategies and projects; ensure measurable outcomes are defined and reported for each strategy or project.

+ Partner with key stakeholders and customers to implement application services for strategic initiatives that are effective, user-friendly and accurate.

+ Management

+ Responsible for the enterprise-wide implementation of Oracle ERP Cloud and business transformation activities across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, PY and Workforce Management

+ Partners with the business to develop business transformation strategies enabled by ERP Cloud

+ Responsible for the establishing a governance model for future state master data

+ Manages overall ERP Cloud program budget and the establishment of project financials and controls

+ Develops and negotiates preferred information technology vendor contracts and manages key vendor relationships.

+ Ensures the performance of applications within their domain and evaluates the performance of services on the basis of specific KPIs.

+ Oversees budgeting and expenditures for applications, staff and services within their span of control.

+ Assists in the development of and monitors compliance with policies and procedures for Application Services that impact all of Providence St. Joseph Health .

+ Attracts, hires, trains, motivates, retains, and develops a team of first-rate professionals to perform the responsibilities of applications management.

+ Designs, implements, maintains, and operates departmental Service Level Agreements, Operating Level Agreements, and associated KPIs.

+ A proven ability to build an organization and provide responsive leadership; to delegate, coordinate and motivate staff, and to evaluate performance.

+ Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate teamwork with multidisciplinary group, building and reaching consensus; agreeing upon a course of action where there are multiple perspectives.

+ Demonstrates outstanding organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage shifting priorities.

+ Operational

+ Plans for monthly and quarterly releases for Oracle ERP Cloud

+ Provides leadership for all support activities for new ERP Cloud, existing ERP systems (Lawson, ImageNow) and legacy affiliation applications (e.g. McKesson, Meditech)

+ Develops budgets and the expenditures for information services related to applications in partnership with other leaders and the PMO.

+ Provides executive leadership on critical issues, problems or delays in production, projects or any other issues that has an impact on the customer.

+ Leads process optimization and initiatives to improve service delivery, increase value and promote customer service.

+ Maintains the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable applications and process that support the growth and financial objectives of Providence St. Joseph Health .

+ Teams with the business and other IS disciplines to develop and maintain appropriate disaster recovery architecture, projects, and policies and participates in disaster drills for applications

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, HR; or equivalent educ/experience

+ Master’s Degree in Information Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related IS or healthcare field; or equivalent educ/experience (preferred)

+ More than 10 years of IS leadership experience

+ More than 10 years of leadership experience in business system enablement and ERP application deployment for two or more of the following business functions:

+ Finance

+ Supply Chain

+ HCM

+ Workforce Management

+ More than 10 years of experience in Large scale Enterprise Resource Planning (Infor Lawson or Oracle EBS/Cloud) application deployment experience (can be design, and/or implementation and/or upgrade experience). Experience to include at least a minimum of 5 years as an ERP application leadership role

+ More than 10 years of ERP experience must span across minimum of two amongst core finance, supply chain and HCM modules with the following areas of demonstrated competency/expertise:

+ Finance applications (e.g. General Ledger, Billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management and Expense Reimbursement) experience including design and implementation

+ Supply Chain applications (e.g. Contract Management, Sourcing, Purchasing, Supplier / Vendor Management, Pricing, Inventory)

+ HCM applications (Talent acquisitions, Talent management, Core HR, Payroll, Retirement)

+ Overall experience with Warehouse Management and Distribution applications

+ Integration experience to Intelligent Capture solutions (e.g. Invoice Scanning) and associated workflows

+ Integration experience to Performance Management solutions (e.g. Hyperion Financial Management)

+ More than 10 years of experience in Business processes enablement and optimization proficiency must be demonstrated in at least 5 of the following areas:

+ Extensive System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience for business transformation initiatives

+ Basic knowledge of SQL servers and Oracle databases

+ Exposure to cloud solutions preferred or demonstrated understanding of ERP cloud applications

+ Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multi-disciplinary groups and to accomplish work through subordinate managers and supervisors, or high level individual contributors.

+ Healthcare knowledge and experience preferred

+ Must be action oriented and possess superior judgment, critical thinking, problem solving and cognitive skills

+ Ability to comprehend customer business needs with respect to support of and impact to PH&S organizational objectives, mission, and core values

+ Ability to balance multiple priorities and information needs across functional programs, facilities and regions as well as organize short-term and long-term responsibilities in response to changing demands

+ Respected leadership skills, particularly in the areas of application life-cycle management with detailed knowledge regarding core vendor strategies

+ Experience issuing or responding to RFIs and RFPs

+ Experience with ERP assessments including vendor and software selection experience

+ Deep finance and supply chain business process knowledge including master data management

+ Experience in financial management.
