*Position Summary:*
* Provides critical intensive care to Medical, Surgical, and Cardiac patient population
Provides therapies included but not limited to: Administration of vasoactive drugs, respiratory/ventilator support, management of cardiac status with continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, parenteral and enteral nutritional support, temporary transvenous pacing, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Therapy, thrombolytic therapy, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), peritoneal dialysis, and acute hemodialysis performed by a hemodialysis nurse.
* Demonstrates professional and personal development.
* Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of the patient served including adult and geriatric patients.
* Plans nursing care.
* Performs nursing care.
* Evaluates the assessment, planning and intervention process.
*Minimum Education:*
Graduate of a Program in Discipline – Required
*Required Skills:*
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) -to be obtained within 30 days
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – to be obtained within 6 months
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – to be obtained within 6 months.
