Summary:
LEAD Technical is currently looking for a Production Lead for our client in the North Melbourne area. In this role, you will be leading and instructing machine operators and other production staff in the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of manufacturing machinery. You will also oversee production to ensure products are flowing to ensure production goals are met. This is an exciting opportunity with a worldwide leader in their space. This is a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE role that is available immediately. PLEASE NOTE: This is a THIRD SHIFT position. Third Shift is 11PM – 7AM.
Responsibilities:
Work from schedules, production orders and work instructions to assist and direct operators
Ensure materials are moving through workstations to meet scheduled shipment dates
Check first pieces to ensure conformance
Oversee production goals of operators, providing assistance where needed
Perform basic machine maintenance
Coordinate operations with other shifts to ensure uninterrupted workflow
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Proficiency with shop mathematics
Lean Manufacturing experience
Experience leading and training in a production environment strongly preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
