Aspiring Medical Professional AMP 1
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.
Reports to: Education Supervisor
FLSA: Non-exempt
EEO: 05 Administrative Support Workers
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Learns and Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
Learns and observes how to assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform other duties as assigned.• Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.• Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.• Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.• Accepts all call schedule as directed.• Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.
ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS
• Compliance to the STRH – Lawrenceburg Standards of Performance is required.• Compliance to Dress Code Standards• Should this job description be filled by a PRN employee, they will be subject to the requirements of that position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
*Minimum Education*High school diploma or equivalent Preferred, not required
Completed Junior year of Highschool or is currently in senior year of Highschool.
*Required Skills*Able to listen and acquire critical thinking skills, learn troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with regular supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and follow training given.
Certifications:X Basic Life Support (BLS), must obtain within 30 days of hire
