Overview
Under the direction of a skilled Registered Nurse Preceptor, performs specific nursing functions of patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Registered Nurse Preceptor, Department Director, Chief Nursing Officer
*Minimum Education*
Be actively enrolled in a program of studies toward a registered nurse. If enrolled in an AS program, must be a second year student. If enrolled in the BSN program, must be a senior to be eligible for this program.
Requires critical thinking skills, time management skills. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
*Required Skills*
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days from date of hire.
