*Summary: *

The Practice Manager will direct and supervise the day-to-day operational functions for both the Primary and Multi-Specialty practices of the Central Carolina Physician Practices in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The Practice Manager reports directly to the Director of Central Carolina Physician Practices.

Essential Functions:

1. Monitor financial performance, including compensation and overhead expenses:

2. Budget Development.

3. Monitor actual financial performance compared to budget including FTE Management.

4. Develop/implement action plans for practices to breakeven.

5. Understanding of accounts receivable management and status for all assigned providers.

6. Develop and review weekly financial projections.

7. Develop and execute monthly performance (financial & wRVU) reviews with physicians.

8. Runs month end Allscripts/Athena/NextGen close reports and create month end AR Maps for all employed practices in conjunction with Director – Physician Practice Operations.

9. Assess, develop, and refine physician staffing patterns.

10. Consults with the office coordinators/office managers concerning the operations of their practices to assist in the eliminating/correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services. Reports such findings/solutions to the Market Director of CCPP.

11. Participates in teamwork and process improvements by continually working with the other staff members to identify areas of concern; works with management to identify resolutions.

12. Works to resolve patient issues and complaints.

13. Sets and oversees staff productivity levels.

14. Serve as an ADP/Lawson timekeeper for assigned staff and monitors overtime.

15. Oversee clinical and patient care policies, objectives and standards for measurement and maintenance of quality patient care (HIPPA/JCAHO).

16. Monitors and holds providers accountable to their individual Employment Agreements including time off, compensation, bonuses, and renewals.

17. Maintains an appropriate public relations program that serves the best interest of the practices and the community.

18. Maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of Athena and or any new EMR Technology.

19. Responsible for Athena Implementation/set-up and data migration for all new providers.

20. Works in conjunctions with Market Director to ensure tracking and completion of all Coding and Compliance Action Plans by their assigned due dates.

21. Maintains open communication with Market Director.

Associates degree is required.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

*_Required Experience:_*

Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory-level experience required.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in physician practice operations management including thorough understanding of front office, back office, and business office functions required.

*_Preferred Experience:_*

Budgeting, physician demand analyses, and practice start-ups preferred.

Highly proficient working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems. Allscripts/Athena/NextGen experience preferred.
