In this pivotal role, you’ll support the President and CEO of a leading insurance and tax planning solutions firm in driving the company’s operations, managing human resources, and ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. As their Operations Manager, you’ll wear many hats—from marketing support to team management—requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a strong understanding of our company’s core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Client Engagement: Assist the President/CEO in onboarding new prospective firms, participate in prospect calls, and manage marketing efforts to generate new leads.
- Human Resources Management: Oversee the entire onboarding process for new employees, including interviews, background checks, and IT setup. Manage all HR functions, including performance reviews, and handle terminations when necessary.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of 10-15 individuals, ensuring that all staff and workflows are aligned with company objectives. Delegate tasks effectively to administrative staff.
- Administrative Support: Provide clerical assistance, including proofreading presentations, managing social media, and updating the company website. Support administrative staff by answering phones and responding to client inquiries.
- Operational Efficiency: Manage and organize data entry for CRM, Outlook, Office 365, and SharePoint. Handle all insurance-related tasks, including maintaining licenses and renewing policies.
- Client Service: Assist clients with customer service requests, manage life insurance applications, and ensure smooth policy processing.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver high-quality customer service through prompt responsiveness, professional communication, and proactive problem-solving.
- Complete project assignments in a timely manner, including account management, analysis, and presentations.
- Maintain accurate client information and contribute to effective team management.
- Consistently adhere to the work schedule and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: 4-year degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years in the life insurance industry, with 3-5 years of experience in life insurance, disability, and long-term care.
- Licenses: Ability to obtain Life, Health, and Disability license within one year of hire.
Skills:
- Self-motivated and excels at building relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills.
