Overview
Under the supervision of a physician, provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcareservices to patients in an assigned area/service.
*Minimum Education*
Master’s degree from Physician’s Assistant program – Required
*Required Skills*
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
*Certifications:*
BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – Required If not current upon hire,must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
*Licenses:*Current Tennessee PA licensure or temporary permit to practice in Tennessee – Required.
With temporary permit, PA licensure must be obtained within state required timeline.
