IDR is seeking a 3D Environment Artist II to join one of our top clients in Los Angeles. This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled artist to contribute to the creation of visually compelling environments for a character-based tactical shooter game. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the 3D Environment Artist II:
- Build 3D assets ranging from hard surface structures to organic foliage
- Contribute to the asset creation pipeline with your understanding of optimized low poly asset creation such as modular kits
- Interpret concept designs while taking into account technical and design constraints
- Collaborate with various other disciplines to ensure all assets are optimized and performant
- This is a 12-month contract position
Required Skills for 3D Environment Artist II:
- 3+ years of professional experience as an environment artist
- Professional experience working in Maya, Photoshop, and Z-Brush
- Professional experience working in Unreal engine
- Experience shipping at least one game title
- Ability to use trim sheets, create textures and materials, and hard surfaced props
- Experience with stylized work and creating full environments
