Audit Manager- Counterparty Credit Risk
Charlotte, North Carolina- Direct Hire (3 days per week in office / Two days remote)
ARC Group is currently recruiting for an Audit Manager specializing in Counterparty Credit Risk for a Fortune 500 company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This hybrid role offers flexibility with 3 days per week in-office and 2 days remote.
For this position, our client is looking for someone with CCR. They need to understand the risk that the counterparty to a transaction could default or deteriorate in creditworthiness before the final settlement of a transaction’s cash flows. This role is important as it relates to minimizing risks of the organization that could impact creditworthiness.

Job Description:
The Audit Manager will oversee designated audit areas as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), implementing audit strategies for Lines of Business (LOBs). Key responsibilities include defining audit scopes, conducting test procedures, drafting audit reports, and managing relationships with business partners. This role plays a crucial part in assessing and minimizing organizational risks related to counterparty creditworthiness..
Responsibilities:
- Define audit scope and programs, execute audit strategies, and draft high-quality audit reports using innovative methods.
- Act as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), overseeing audit testing and ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Assess impacts on business processes, controls, and strategies, providing recommendations and escalating themes based on business knowledge.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Maintain relationships with line management to enhance business knowledge and challenge management effectively.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior experience in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR); Global Markets experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Alteryx, Python, SQL, SAS, and Advanced Excel/Access is preferred.
- Background in audit or risk control within financial services; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in mitigating overall risk through direct interaction.
