AVP Compliance Investigations – Remote

*What you’ll do:*
As an*AVP Compliance Investigations*, you willoversee, manage and assure the quality of the Company’s enterprise-wide internal investigations program and assists in the operation and management of the Company Compliance Program. The AVP’s responsibilities include development, implementation and management of polices, procedures and protocols to assure an effective and consistent approach to reporting/in-take, triage, investigation, corrective action recommendations and documentation of each step in the investigation process for internal investigations prompted by employee, patient and other third party complaints, including but not limited to complaints raising Compliance, People Services and, in certain circumstances, Risk-related concerns. The AVP will investigate significant matters and will oversee and support investigations undertaken by HSC functions (including Compliance, People Services and, in certain circumstances, Quality and Risk), as well as market- or facility-level personnel (including market- and facility level Ethics and Compliance Officers/Compliance Partners, People Services Directors and, in certain circumstances, Risk Managers). The AVP will work closely with and support investigations by Legal, Privacy and Security. The AVP will align their efforts to prevent, detect, and correct non-compliance and will support an environment that encourages information sharing, collaboration, and process improvement to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and service excellence across multiple teams.
*Responsibilities*
* Serve as a critical member of the Compliance Department and the Enterprise Risk Management functions of the organization.
* The AVP is responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving an internal investigations protocol applicable to all internal investigations prompted by employee, patient and third party complaints, including complaints raising compliance,People Servicesand, in certain circumstances, risk-related concerns. In doing so, the AVP will oversee, support and assure the quality of internal investigations conduct by multiple functions both at the HSC and local levels, including Compliance,People Servicesand, in certain cases, Quality and, in certain circumstances, Risk.
* The AVP will investigate, analyze and apply judgment to complex fact patterns, including those having potentially significant enterprise-wide implications and requiring an understanding of federal health care program requirements, fraud and abuse laws and enforcement policies.
* In cases where compliance failures or other matters requiring corrective action are identified through an investigation, the AVP will participate in the development of corrective action recommendations. The AVP will be responsible for developing a framework to ensure consistent corrective action recommendations across the enterprise, including, where appropriate and in consultation with Legal, determinations about reporting to law enforcement.
* The AVP will ensure all internal investigations, investigatory findings and recommendations for corrective action are appropriately documented. The AVP will produce and analyze reports of investigations to identify and highlight trends or systematic concerns and to assist key stakeholders in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Key stakeholders will include, but are not limited to, the Lifepoint Compliance and ERM Committee, Division Presidents, and Lifepoint Executive Leadership.
* Upon request, the AVP will participate in or otherwise support internal investigations conducted by Legal, Privacy, Diversion Prevention, and Security.
* The AVP shall maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all work matters, and fully comply with all legal and ethical obligations, the Company Code of Conduct.
* The AVP will oversee the aggregation and analysis of data related to investigations and corrective action plans and will monitor the performance of the company and its divisions against key performance indicators drawn from the industry. The AVP will be prepared to present and explain these analyses to a wide range of leaders across the enterprise.
*What you’ll need:*
* *EDUCATION:*Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
* *EXPERIENCE:*Minimum 10 related experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory and/or operational expertise required.
* *TRAVEL:*Up to 25% of the time.
* *CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:*CHC or CCEP preferred.
