JOB SUMMARY |
- Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. CSTs maintain the sterile field while anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team.
- CSTs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives, and continuing education.

- Minimum Education
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
- Minimum Work Experience
- No previous experience
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- Completion of approved Surgical Technology Program.
- New graduate must receive national certification within 180 days of graduation.
- CPR
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Maintains professional appearance at all times
- Ability to handle confidential information
