Overview

Follows established policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, and sensitivity to confidential information.

Registers patients, verifies and updates necessary information in medical record, and collects co-pays as appropriate.

Maintains appointment schedule and follows office scheduling policies.

Processes incoming and outgoing mail.

Performs general patient care, Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with standards of care.

Aids provider during patient examination, testing, and treatment.

Maintains timely flow of patient appointments.

information and documents all information in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System.

Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls and follows through to ensure client requests have been answered.

Coordinates patient care with other departments within Bell and with other community health care agencies.

Prepares exam rooms and treatment areas, including the re-stocking and ordering of appropriate supplies.

Attends meetings and in-service training as required and maintains an active professional license.

Completes annual educational requirements.

Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Support the culture of service excellence throughout the organization.

Actively seek ways to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and participate in professional development opportunities.

Maintains certification in drug collection including urine, hair and breath alcohol testing.

Maintains clinic files in a professional organized manner.

Coordinates and follows through on billing issues with clients and accounting.

Acts as scheduling coordinator for clinic functions including appointment scheduling.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Computer and/or keyboarding skills required.

Familiar with Microsoft Office Programs.
