*JOB SUMMARY*
*To maintain the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection. To assist the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. To function within the OB setting with added skills specific to the setting. *
*Minimum Education*
Must be a graduate of a Practical Nursing Program.
*Required Skills*
Must have a high energy level with ability to work under stress of the operating room atmosphere and exhibit emotional maturity, stability, and flexibility
*Minimum Work Experience*
At least one year of experience in a surgical environment is preferred.
Experience in an OB setting preferred.
*Required Skills*
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire.
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire preferred.
NRP, within 6 months of hire.

Licenses:
Must be a licensed LPN in the State of Tennessee.
