**Chaplain and Non-Certified Chaplain – Chaplaincy Services Department at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA**

This is a combined posting for Chaplain and Non-Certified Chaplain. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

The Non-Certified Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers- in inpatient, and outpatient settings

**Chaplain**

**Up to $5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.**

**Shift Details: Full Time, Variable Shift, 40 hours per week**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Master’s Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or the equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution.

+ Coursework/Training: 4 units—Accredited or approved by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), by programs that were accredited by the former United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation (USCCB/CCA), or the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS). Equivalency for one unit of CPE (two units in CASC) may be considered.

+ National Chaplain Certification required within 3 years of hire

Chaplain, Salary Range:

Min: $25.79, Max: $41.02

**Non-Certified Chaplain**

**Shift Details: On Call or Per Diem, Variable Shift**

**This position will be expected to work at least 2 to 3 on-call shifts per week. On-call shifts during weekdays is from 4:30 pm to 6:30 am. On-call shifts during weekends and holidays is 6:30 am to 6:30 am the next day.**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Coursework/Training: CPE- 2 Units—Accredited or approved by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), by programs that were accredited by the former United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation (USCCB/CCA), or the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS). Equivalency for one unit of CPE (two units in CASC) may be considered.

+ Master’s Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or the equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution.

+ 1 year of Pastoral experience.

Non-Certified Chaplain, Salary Range:

Min: $22.90, Max: $36.45
