Overview

**Description**

The Chief of Staff CGO supports the Chief Growth Officer and Market President, Commercial with business planning, execution and delivery. This individual will coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders and perform discovery, evaluation and business plan preparation for various initiatives. They will be responsible for coordinating the monthly business review preparation and content and assist with preparation of strategy meetings, including Growth Summits, Network Summits, etc.

+ Prepares working content, including pre-reads.

+ Supports CGO and Market President with various governance and committee meetings, including content preparation – in particular, the Strategy & Innovation Committee and the Operating Committee.

+ Supports Growth organization with preparation of PHP Board of Directors meeting and committee content.

Commercial Sales

+ Commercial Sales strategy, tactics, including business development and pipeline support.

+ Channel engagement, including producer events and hospitality.

+ Assessment of product development, including point solutions and other innovations.

+ Commercial marketing support.

Network

+ Market expansion

+ Wrap network service providers.

+ Specialty network service providers

+ Telehealth solutions

+ Value-based contracting opportunities

+ Existing network strategy, refinements, deliverables.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

+ Works alongside the Chief Growth Officer and Market President, Commercial to ensure the overall Growth organization is running smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

+ Leads with a social justice orientation in alignment with Providence Health Plan mission and values, fostering a sense of belonging and commitment to a diverse staff and organization.

+ Assists with development and management of an operating budget as appropriate.

+ Inspires and motivates managers to build and grow high-performing teams.

+ Works with the executive leadership and legal department to assure compliance at all levels.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Assists and/or leads on special projects, external events, and communications.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field; or equivalent education/experience

+ Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field; or equivalent education/experience

+ 10 or more years of experience with strategic planning and revenue growth in health care.

+ 10 or more years of experience partnering with senior executives on a 1:1 and collective level (preferred)

+ 10 or more years of experience advising and facilitating key leaders in areas of strategic planning, revenue growth, and optimization (preferred)

+ Direct or indirect experience working in or with an integrated health system, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Governance, and/or Corporate Services (preferred)

+ Possesses ability to seamlessly step in on behalf of the Chief Growth Officer at meetings/events and represent the entire Growth organization.

+ Has the ability to lead a high-performing team in a complex, matrixed environment

+ Thrives on the versatility of managing cross-functional initiatives and balancing extensive data and detail.

+ Demonstrated ability to balance day-to-day and urgent needs of multiple issues/projects simultaneously while exercising rapid business judgment to support effective real time decisions.

+ Understands complexities of the healthcare industry, health plan dynamics / operations, and interconnectivity of each of the major industry players (e.g., health plans, hospitals, life sciences firms)

+ Possesses a broad strategic and operational acumen, sound business judgment.

+ Ability to drive Health Plan Growth organization towards meaningful change, even during times of setback and obstacles.

+ Demonstrates ability to establish and achieve audacious goals for enterprise-wide business performance and monitor progress through the creation, refinement, and tracking of KPIs and other performance indicators.

+ Advances the accountability framework across the organization with standardized governance processes and procedures that enable fair and consistent decision-making and operating standards.

+ Possesses a high level of creativity and problem-solving skills to identify innovative and appropriate approaches to strategic and operational issues.

+ Works collaboratively with C-suite leadership on topline strategic planning

+ Ability to create executive level presentations and facilitate executive level meetings, on behalf of the Chief Growth Officer, that receive buy-in across levels and audiences to enable critical decision-making.

+ Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with business leaders within a virtual/hybrid team setting.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
