**Clinical Educator – Special Pathogens Unit (SPU) at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA**
The Clinical Educator position for the Special Pathogens Unit (SPU) participates in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and activities supporting the needs of the SPU at Sacred Heart Medical Center as the Region 10 Emerging Pathogens Treatment Center. Ensures the use of appropriate educational technology and adult learning methodology to increase knowledge, skills, and competencies.

**Shift Details** : Full Time, Exempt, Day Shift
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Science, Public or Community Health, Epidemiology or other health-related field
+ National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire -OR-
+ National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists upon hire -OR-
+ National Medical Technologist – American Association of Bioanalysts upon hire -OR-
+ National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire -OR-
+ National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire -OR-
+ National Certified in Infection Control – Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology upon hire
+ Certified in Public Health-National Board of Public Health Examiners upon hire -OR- Certified Health Education Specialist-National Commission for Health Education Credentialing upon hire -OR- Master Certified Health Education Specialist upon hire
+ 5 years of healthcare experience (infection prevention, medical laboratory scientist, public/community health, etc.)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master’s Degree in Epidemiology, MPH, MBA, HCM, Laboratory Science or other health-related field
+ 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience
