**Description**

Clinical Informatics Specialist – Swedish First Hill

***REMOTE HYBRID*** – while this role is predominately remote, employee must be able to attend in person meetings at the Seattle First Hill campus as needed. Typically quarterly.**

**SCHEDULE:** 1.0 FTE; 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 9a-5p PST. Hours may be somewhat flexible.

Responsible for collection/abstraction of data for clinical databases, utilizing clinical experience to monitor, analyze, and report data on SMC patient populations, including demographics, clinical information, treatment received, and outcomes. Review reports, identify trends in service and provider performance, initiate and design drill-down analysis, and support service designated quality and performance improvement projects. Provide data analysis and performance improvement consulting for large-scale healthcare quality assessment and improvement projects. Consults with managers, staff and physicians to support improvement activities and organizational initiatives. Coordinates both electronic and manual points of data collections, and assists in developing new data elements as needed. Educates and trains staff on data reporting requirements, relevant data definitions, and performance feedback. Is a resource and guide to other team members and/or customers across the enterprise for the development of analytic and data solutions.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree preferably in nursing, allied health sciences, applied behavioral science, or related subject.

+ Four (4 years) experience in a clinical, or healthcare related setting.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Master’s Degree in nursing, allied health sciences, applied behavioral science, or related subject.

+ Current licensure and/or certification in Washington State appropriate to profession upon hire.
