*Clinical Nurse Manager (RN)*
Behavioral Health
Position Summary:
* Assists the Program Director in directing all nursing activities and in assessing andmonitoringthe quality of nursing services provided within the Behavioral Health Departments in Danville and Martinsville.
* Assists the Program Directorin recruitmentand interviewing of staff and evaluation of employee performance.
* Conducts new employee training and orientation.
* Assistin review and revision of policies and procedures.
* Participates in departmental and team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
* The Clinical Manager is also a working RN and routinely personally executes nursing care duties to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan.
* Assistsin monitoring attendance by accurately reporting staff tardiness, absences,leave earlyand staylate behavior.
* Assistin communication with staff verbally and written, to ensure staff are aware of policy or procedure changes, meetings, or otherimportant information.
* Performs evaluations and disciplines inan appropriateandtimelymanner.
* Reports incidents appropriately and within the designatedtime frame. Demonstrates good judgment in contacting the AOC or Program Director
* Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures anddemonstratednursing competencies.
* Participates in quality improvement initiatives in the departments, auditing, and active patient rounding
* Assistswith orientation of new team members, scheduling, and team building in the departments
* Assistin communication with staff verbally and written, to ensure staff are aware of policy or procedure changes, meetings, or otherimportant information.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduate from a program of professional nursing required – _BSN Required_
* Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state required
* Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
* May be required to work flexible hours.
* Must agree to travel across campuses if needed by the Director.
* Two years’ leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
* Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required.
* Handle with Care required with 30 days of hire.
