Overview
**Description**
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager or Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist assists in provision of optimal use of antimicrobial medications within the ministry. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will assist the Infectious Disease physician(s), Infection Preventionist, and all the patient providers in the ministry in the optimization antimicrobial therapy. Responsibilities include the promotion of the evidence based, safe and effective medication therapy, leadership and oversight of the antimicrobial stewardship and infectious disease initiatives, and standardization of practices across the continuum of care.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ PharmD from an accredited school of Pharmacy
+ PYG-1 and PGY-2 residency training or 3 years experience in healthcare setting with extensive working experience in the specialty area
+ California Pharmacist Registered upon hire
+ National Certification from Board of Pharmacy Specialties upon hire
+ Current California Pharmacist license
+ Current CPR certification
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ ASHP accredited residency
+ Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification
