Overview
**Description**
As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – NICU and Pediatrics, you will provide care to patients in our Level III NICU, PICU, and general pediatric ward. You will respond to medical emergencies in the Pediatric/NICU population. Providence St. Vincent Medical Center serves as the pediatric center for the Providence Oregon Region, so there are opportunities to serve a diverse population of children. You will also provide care to maternal/labor & delivery patients. You will develop initiatives and policies to improve medication management in these populations. You will be a preceptor for our large residency class and for students in our layered learning model. Our pharmacists work four 10-hour shifts per week (weekdays and every third weekend) which will be primarily days and evenings.
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist assists the pharmacy management team in the provision of clinical pharmacy services within a specialty area (e.g. critical care, oncology, medicine, surgery).
Performs all duties in a manner, which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ PharmD Pharmacy or Bachelor’s Degree BS in Pharmacy
+ Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacist License
+ Within 2 years of hire National Certification from Board of Pharmacy Specialties
+ 2 years PGY2 residency training – or – PGY1 residency training and 2 years of experience within relevant practice setting – or – a minimum of 4 years of experience in specialty practice setting
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Upon hire: Certification from Board of Pharmacy Specialties in Pharmacotherapy in specific area of practice.
