IDR is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join one of our top clients in Memphis, TN (preferred) or Remote. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Cloud Engineer:

  • Design, develop, and manage Redshift data warehouses to support business intelligence (BI) and reporting needs.
  • Integrate Redshift with other AWS services such as S3, EC2, RDS, Glue, and Lambda.
  • Optimize database design and performance for big data processing.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and maintain data integrity across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

Required Skills for Cloud Engineer:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, but candidates with exceptional skills and less experience will also be considered.
  • All-round understanding of AWS Ecosystem and the ability to propose solutions to teams with little AWS knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift, with an understanding of data warehousing concepts and SQL.
  • Strong experience of implementing disaster recovery strategies for AWS solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload efficiently.
