*Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Credentialing Specialist Assistant – Remote.The Credentialing Specialist Assistant will be responsible for assisting with data entering, gathering, and completing of applications for healthcare practitioners. This includes in-depth, detailed, or challenging research of information. Primary methods of researching information include phone, fax, e-mail, internet, and letters.This position integrates essential work components related to: the intake, triage, flow, and management of paper and electronic documents for credentialing.This position needs to be knowledgeable in health care, be task oriented, and work with other team members and hospitalsto accurately and timely process documentation as required.*

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*:
* Assist Credentialing Specialists with retrieval of their work as assigned.
* Assists with compiling and maintaining current and accurate data for all practitioners
* Assists with practitioner credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
* Assists with monitoring to ensure current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all practitioners
* Assists with maintaining practitioner information in online credentialing databases and systems
* Assist with tracking certification and professional liability expirations for all practitioners to ensure timely renewals
* Assists practitioners to complete credentialing process, including any additional documentation, verifications, references, and applications necessary
* Complete and review all applications to ensure accuracy prior to submission
* Assist with administrative tasks

*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES*:
*EDUCATION*: Associate’s degree is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
*EXPERIENCE*: A minimum of 1 year of credentialing or equivalent work experience is required
