Position Summary
Underthedirectionofadirectororothersupervisor,assumestheresponsibilityandaccountabilityforproducingdiagnosticproceduresonanatomicalregionsinaccordancewithacceptedstandardsofpractice andprotocolsoftheindividualsiteradiologist.TheCTTechnologist(referredtoastechnologist)maintainsa safeenvironmentandconductspatienteducationasnecessary.Undertheguidanceofasiteradiologist, administerscontrastagentsaccordingtosite-specificprotocols.Technologistfollowsqualityassurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality. Technologist works in collaboration with all other caredisciplinestoprovidesafe,efficient,andcoordinatedcareforpatients.
Position Requirements
*Minimum Education*
1. LicensurecapableintheStateofUtahasaRadiologicTechnologist
2. Graduateofapprovedtwo-yearRadiologicTechnologyprogram,orequivalentcertification
3. RegisteredandingoodstandingwithAmericanRegistryofRadiographicTechnologists(ARRT)designatedARRT(R),orequivalentcertification
4. Must obtain BLS within 60 days of hire.
Requirescriticalthinkingskills,decisivejudgmentandtheabilitytoworkwithminimalsupervision.Mustbeabletoworkinastressfulenvironmentandtakeappropriateaction.
Musthavestronginterpersonal,oralandwrittencommunicationskills.Effectivehumanrelationsskillsare required for interfacing with team members, all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and othercontacts.Mustpossesstheabilitytoeffectivelyfunctioninastressfulenvironment.
