Overview
Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Conducts patient education as necessary. Administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
Reports to: Director of Imaging Services
*Required Skills*
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Venipuncture skills.
*Required License/Certifications*
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
ARRT
*Minimum Work Experience*
At least one year of previous experience in a Radiologic Technologist role or CT role strongly preferred.
Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicate need. Will be available to report to facility within 45 minutes of notification. This status will be determined by the Department Director of Administrator on call.
*Minimum Education*
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
