Data Engineer Lead
Contract: 1 Year
Hybrid: Tuesday Through Thursday.

Overview: Perform design, development, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and 24×7 on-call support duties for automated or ad-hoc IT and business processes consisting of base SAS programming, SAS Enterprise Guide use, Oracle DB views and SQL queries, Linux shell scripting work, job automation/scheduling tools, and data/file transfer utilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support data structures – large data platforms.
- Perform nightly processing, linux, executing staff, outputs, including email, reports, ftp.Â
- Development work, new requests for new reports, changes to reports and handling the tickets.
- Understand the data source, data coming from oracle, external transfers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience with reporting and/or analytics technologies support using base SAS software, Enterprise Guide, PCSAS, or Studio in conjunction with large libraries of SAS datasets
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Linux shell scripting and automated or scheduled execution processing
- Experience researching data and/or coding problems and handling after-hours calls for production issues
- Working knowledge of electronic data/file transfers and security concepts
- Working knowledge of operating systems, networking, and storage technologies
- Ability to work independently and represent the team (take notes on what is needed).Â
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial, insurance, or mortgage industry systems and data
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, Tableau, Amazon S3, mainframe processing, or Vista plus reporting
- Experience independently solving technical problems
