ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Facilitation of exemplary interdepartmental and intradepartmental collaboration, policies and procedures to ensure highest quality of multidisciplinary bariatric surgery patient care, meeting or exceeding the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Bariatric (ASMBS) Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) center of excellence and Hospital standard of care requirements

Maintains daily staff supervision and review of department scheduling

Communicates/acts as a conduit between administration and the surgeon med staff

Collaborates with Marketing and Growth and Outreach to drive marketing and outreach projects to ensure volume growth and lead generation, conversion, and patient satisfaction/retention.

Serves as Subject Matter Expert for pilot programs and collaboration/partnerships with third parties.

Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

Directs and evaluates departmental operations, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives

Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary action, and continuing education initiatives

Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding

Creates and fosters and environment that encourages professional growth

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum EducationBachelors Degree required

Minimum Work ExperiencePrior experience in management, charge, supervisor, or other leadership PreferredPrior experience in field of discipline Preferred

Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
