Overview
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the oversight of all nursing functions and operations within the facility. The DON serves as an effective leader of nursing operations while delivering the highest quality patient care in the skilled nursing environment.
* Serves as a mission focused strategic partner to achieve developmental and growth related goals. Collaborates locally and with interdisciplinary teams within the health system.
* Develops, maintains, and demonstrates working knowledge of all policies, procedures, and regulations.Adheres to all federal, state, the Joint Commission, OSHA, ACR, and any other applicable regulatory and/or accrediting agency guidelines.
* Investigates all resident and family complains or concerns in a timely manner, reporting findings to the Administrator.
* Responsible for interviewing and hiring decisions of new nursing staff. Coordinates necessary training and mentorship. Provides guidance to staff and clinical managers. Facilities performance reviews and takes disciplinary action when necessary.

The Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 113-bed center located on the Fauquier Hospital campus, offering nearby access to hospital and physician services. *Minimum Education*
â–¡ Associates degree (Nursing) â–¡ Preferred X Required
â–¡ Bachelor’s degree (Nursing) X Preferred â–¡ Required
Membership in at least one leadership organization of choice pertinent to DON role.
*Minimum Work Experience*
Preferred – 3 years experience in nursing management with 2 years Long Term Care experience.
