*What you’ll do:*

As a Director, Post Acute Billing, you will oversee all aspects of the finance department within operating unit, to include but not limited to the processing of insurance claims, maintaining correct census information, following up on bills, and having budgetary responsibility over department. Serves as a final checking point for charging accuracy, examines all managed care claims for necessary referrals, monitors late charge report and adjusts
bills accordingly. Provides financial and operational direction for department and implements performance measures to ensure department is functioning to its fullest potential. In the execution of job duties, it is the universal expectation that all tasks are performed with a patient centered focus, while also seeking opportunities to continually improve core processes. Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need, which may include but is not limited to: holidays, extended shifts, night and/or weekend shifts, standby and/or on-call. *Responsibilities:*

* Understands current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the healthcare industry. Adheres to all federal, state, the Joint Commission, OSHA, ACR, and any other applicable regulatory and/or accrediting agency guidelines.

* Fosters a collaborative environment within the system, as well as within LifePoint as a whole (e.g. other hospitals and HSC).
* Consistently enhances service to create superior quality outcomes for our customers and organization.
* Ensures that employees fully understand their roles, responsibilities and performance standards expectations and provides ongoing feedback and support as employees strive to achieve expectations.
* Applies key financial concepts and analysis to decision making. Participates in the budget planning process.
* Adheres to realistic budgets to achieve the organization’s objectives.
* Clearly defines roles and responsibilities, determines necessary resources, and monitors performance toward measurable outcomes through appropriate systems and procedures.

*What you’ll need:*

Minimum Education

* Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field of study Required
* Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field of study Preferred
* Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field of study Preferred Or related field of study or equivalent experience.
* Minimum Work Experience Required – 3 years experience in Finance, Billing, or Accounting experience.
* 1 year of supervisor experience.
* Preferred – 5 or more years of supervisory experience.
* Long Term Care experience.
