Position: Dozer / Excavator Operator

1st shift / Full Time
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dozer / Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery, specifically dozers and excavators, in a variety of construction and earth-moving projects. The primary role of this position will be to operate and maintain dozers and excavators to assist in the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operate dozers and excavators to move earth, materials, and debris on construction sites
– Perform routine maintenance and inspections on dozers and excavators to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy machinery
– Communicate with other team members on the job site to coordinate tasks and ensure project efficiency
– Complete daily logs and reports on equipment usage and maintenance
– Conduct pre-operational checks and maintain a clean and organized work area
– Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions in a timely manner
– Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks
– Maintain a professional and courteous attitude while interacting with team members and clients
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dozers and excavators in a construction or earth-moving environment
– Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
– Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
– Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
– Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
– Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
– Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification preferred
