Position Summary:

Provides orientation, technical supervision and ongoing training to the Echo Lab technical staff, in the performance of non-invasive cardiac ultrasound procedures for Adult Patients. Assists in the development of departmental policy and procedures including scanning and preliminary diagnostic interpretation protocols, according to the standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Cardiology, and the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiographic Laboratories. Acts as the primary point of contact for ECHO participants, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed to foster a supportive and collaborative learning community among ECHO participants.

Participates in the performance of quality non-invasive cardiac ultrasound testing on patients from young adulthood to the geriatric age group, to maintain technical expertise. Extensive knowledge of the principles of cardiac ultrasound is evidenced by registration from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

This position will also support the development and implementation of any new Echo program, manage and organize program materials, resources, and presentations and ensure the timely dissemination of resources to Echo participants. The coordinator will work closely with the Echo Hub teams to ensure the required documentation is submitted to sustain CME compliance. The Echo Coordinator is expected to build and maintain relationships with subject matter experts, healthcare and education professionals, and community partners and collaborate with external organizations to expand the reach and impact of Project ECHO. This position will also serve as an administrative liaison for the Director and Assistant Director. The Echo Coordinator will assist in financial stability by supporting grant deliverables and creating and implementing strategies to encourage participation and engagement. The Echo Coordinator will collect and input program participation and impact data and generate regular reports on program outcomes and improvements.

Graduate of an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology Program

Completion of a Cardiac Sonographer or Echocardiography Certification program®)
