Overview
Maintains the fiber optic equipment/accessories and the general cleanliness of the entire unit. Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of Endoscopy procedures.
Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the lab.
Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
Cleans and disinfects all fiber optic endoscopes and accessory equipment. Prepares equipment for processing and sterilization as assigned.
Cleans and prepares procedure rooms in between patients and sets up appropriate equipment for the next procedure.
Provide support to physicians and nurses during procedures.
Assesses equipment functioning and performance, notifies appropriate person of any defects/damage, and prepares equipment which needs to be sent out for repair.
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and transfers of patients as needed.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must
be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Minimum Work Experience
1 year related experience (Preferred)
