**_*This position is hybrid and can sit in the footprint of Providence in the states of AK, WA, OR, CA, TX and MT. Possible required travel up to 10%._**

The Executive Director oversees program management and growth and modernization work for the Enterprise Business Applications pillar under the direction of the Group VP. Key responsibilities of this role include managing project portfolios and leading management of M&A initiatives for Providence’s enterprise Oracle Cloud ERP, and UKG Kronos timecard and workforce management systems

This position is responsible for leading, mentoring and developing managers as well as other staff. This position will work in close collaboration with VPs, Directors, managers and other leaders and staff across the system.

This position will create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues involving business and information services operations and support. It will also work to standardize complex and disparate processes and methodologies related to deployment of enterprise business operations and onboarding of new affiliations, applications and entities from other systems.

**Project Portfolio Management**

– Oversees the EBA project portfolio and ensures alignment with Finance, other EBA teams, and our internal business customers.

– Executes and maintains IS Project Portfolio Management best practices, including resource management and project accounting

– Leads the adoption and enhancement of PMO standards

– Collaborates with governance groups to achieve IS strategic goals.

– Coordinates with ministry, regional, and system leadership teams within the organization.

– Leads program and project planning, resource management, and strategic direction setting, and collaborates on capital budget planning.

– Leads the PMO team.

**Mergers and Acquisitions**

Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy supporting the migration to and deployment of Providence’s ERP, timekeeping, and workforce management platforms to new affiliations and restructuring projects. This includes:

– Planning and execution of ERP deployments and rollouts for Providence Growth & Modernization projects

– Managing builds for new affiliations/restructuring projects

– Enterprise Business Applications due diligence around new affiliations and ROM estimation efforts

– Integration planning and ERP strategy recommendations for new affiliates

– Working with change management to engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

– Assessing the impact of growth and modernization change on stakeholders and identifying risks and benefits

– Providing advice on a training strategy to equip users at new affiliates with necessary skills for the changes they will see to ERP use and process management

– Collaborating with other IS pillars and training groups to align and support the change organization-wide.

– Leading the Mergers and Acquisitions change management team.

**Essential Functions**

Project Portfolio Management – Strategic Functions:

+ Directs adoption and enhancement of the project management processes. Refines implementation structures and tools using emerging strategies and technologies for project management.

+ Works with EBA leaders to set and maintain project management standards and governance. Prioritizes EBA projects using a model linked to business strategy.

+ Identifies and evaluates operating and strategic priorities, tracks value propositions, and executes the IS vision.

+ Partners with business/IS/Operations councils to manage implementation and change. Works with pillar and business leaders to evaluate the scope and purpose of new requests. Manages and meets customer expectations for project success with measurable outcomes.

+ Maintains relationships with business partners and senior leaders for knowledge sharing and best practice, and validates the value partners receive

+ Analyzes implementation and delivery trends to drive continual improvement and organizational learning.

+ Supports strategic planning processes and represents the PMO in decision-making and planning.

Growth and Modernization change management – Strategic Functions:

+ Planning and execution of ERP deployments and rollouts for Growth & Modernization projects. Enterprise business application due diligence for new affiliations and ROM estimation, Integration planning and ERP strategy recommendations for new affiliations and emerging technologies.

Department Management:

+ Provides responsive leadership. Delegates, motivates staff, and evaluates performance. Recruits, trains, motivates, and develops teams of professionals.

+ Balances multiple priorities and information needs across EBA programs, projects, and operational teams.

+ Coordinates teamwork with multidisciplinary groups and facilitates strategy sessions.

+ Builds consensus and agreement on courses of action when there are multiple perspectives.

+ Develops and implements standards and policies for implementations and updates of EBA applications across Providence.

+ Manages project budgeting and expenditures for the EBA project portfolio including growth and modernization projects, including reporting of labor hours against projects.

+ Leads compliance with Project Management policies and procedures for EBA services.

+ Oversees portfolio implementations and drives changes as needed. Manages demand and resource capacity planning. Tracks portfolio-level metrics.

Department Operations:

+ Monitors portfolio performance based on specific KPIs. Collaborates in the design of customer-centric dashboards.

+ Develops and uses quantitative and qualitative data to create metrics.

+ Oversees Project Management and Growth and Modernization team operations

+ Maintains reliable and scalable Project Portfolio and Project Management structures to support Providence’s growth and financial objectives.

+ Audits complex proposals to validate goals, funding, staffing, resources, and business assumptions.

+ Regularly communicates with EBA leadership, reporting status and addressing key issues, risks, schedules, and conflicts.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Information Services. Or equivalent education/experience.

+ Master’s Degree in Information Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related IS or healthcare field. (Preferred)

+ 10 or more years of experience with 7 years of leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.

+ Demonstrated experience of successful delivery of large enterprise wide programs/portfolios.

+ Proven experience in the development of sound, intelligent strategies for strategic system implementation, integration methods, business process improvement, change management, product integration and risk management.
