You have 1+ years of inventory, food service, or warehouse work and your bilingual skills in English/Spanish are preferred. You are looking for a fulfilling opportunity with a community resource organization.

TriStarr’s client, a Lancaster city non-profit, is seeking a Food Distribution Lead like you to oversee the daily aspects of the organization’s food distribution activities, including food received through donations, the State Food Purchasing Program (SFPP), The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and other sources. 

FOOD DISTRIBUTION LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 

  • You will order, manage, and distribute federal TEFAP USDA food inventory.
  • You will ensure SFPP and TEFAP programs operate in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • You will visit food pantries at least once a year to ensure compliance with the SFPP and TEFAP program participation requirements.
  • You will complete pantry reviews and document corrective actions required.
  • You will maintain accurate inventory lists of foods received and distributed.
  • You will prepare food orders for food pantries.
  • You will set up food pickup schedules for food pantries.
  • You will pick up and deliver food as needed.
  • You will determine supply and equipment needs; submit equipment applications to the PA Department of Agriculture (PDA) for approval; maintain inventory. 
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION LEAD EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: 
 

  • You have a HS diploma/GED.
  • Your 1+ yrs.’ experience with inventory, food service, or warehouse work is preferred.
  • Your Bilingual skills in English/Spanish are preferred.
  • Your valid driver’s license is required.

***Please note: The successful candidate will be required to complete the ServSafe Manager and Tow Motor certifications within 3 months of hire. Candidates must have clean FBI, Child Abuse and PA State Police clearances before starting work.

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Permanent
PAY RANGE: $20-$21/hr. 
START DATE: asap, pending interviews
HOURS: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm or 8:30am-4:30pm

DRESS CODE: Business casual
