**Description**
**GYN Nurse Navigator – Breast Center (Full time day shift)**
The GYN Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) will assist patients with cancer, families and caregivers to overcome healthcare system barriers, and provide education and resources to facilitate informed decision making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum. The ONN will support our GYN ONC surgeon and provide preoperative, and postoperative education for cancer patients undergoing surgery. The ONN is cognizant of the psychosocial and financial impact that disease and hospitalization has on the patient and family and acts as an advocate to identify and obtain needed resources and support. Oncology Nurse Navigators have expertise in nursing practice and ensure continuing expertise through clinical experience and continuing education. The complexity of the role requires a high level of autonomy.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
+ upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
+ 3 years Clinical nursing experience as Registered Nurse.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree Nursing.
+ upon hire: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
+ Oncology experience.
