**Job Summary**

Performs and assists with diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures as directed by Vascular Surgeons, Cardiologist or Radiologists according to Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals (SICP) quality standards and scope of practice. Ability to perform all of the duties of a Cardiac Technologist. Ability to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Possesses a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-Ray techniques and emergent and routine cardiac care. Utilizes effective cardiac communication skills and knows change process and utilizes conflict resolution. Possesses expert level understanding of pharmacologic options to treat patients. Understands any special protocols for conscious sedation of patients. Ability to work with the growth and development needs of unique client populations including children to geriatrics.

**Qualifications**

Knowledge for this position is usually acquired through a LPN program or as a cardiovascular technician.

Must have experience in a cardiovascular setting or equivalent training specific to this specialized area.

Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred. Basic Life Support required, ACLS within 6 months of hire.
