Overview

The*HR Generalist*is responsible for all aspects of the hiring process, from recruitment including posting new job listings; sourcing, interviewing, screening and presenting potential candidates to hiring managers, following up with candidates and hiring managers, salary negotiations, conducting employment and reference checking, onboarding and maintaining employee records. This position manages the travel/contract labor requests, onboarding, timecards, billing, etc.

*Essential Functions:*

* Work in collaboration with Department Leaders to recruit, screen, interview and hire candidates.
* Advise and assist in the selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
* Assist with HR transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations.
* Maintain current job descriptions for all positions, ensuring compliance with the Fair Labor Standard Act.
* Leverage social media to proactively source candidates.
* Plan and implement employee referral programs and job fairs.
* Build relationships with educational facilities to recruit new graduates into entry-level positions.
* Assist with monthly New Employee Orientation program.
* Conduct exit interviews and monitor employee turnover.
* Review 30/60/90 day evaluation as part of retention plan.
* Assist with employee engagement.

*Minimum Education*

* Bachelor’s Degree required.
* PHR and/or SHRM certification preferred.

*Minimum Work Experience*

* 2-5 Years in Human Resources or equivalent experience preferred.

* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
* Subject matter expert with ATS, candidate sourcing and recruiting process.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strict adherence to confidentiality with high ethical standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent time-management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
