*HSC Coding Analyst- Remote *

*What you’ll do:*
As an*HSC Coding* *Analyst*, you assist the HSC Managers in obtaining staff access and serves as a designed point of contact to IT.

*Responsibilities:*
· Assist new staff in obtaining facility access including working with the HSC and local facility IT departments.
· Assist staff in resolving access issues that arise after initial access established.
· Ensures documentation is current on access process for the HSC each Lifepoint facility.
· Acts as a liaison between HSC and IT on access collaboration projects.
· Maintains access log to document all access activities
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and concepts effectively across organizational levels as will be working with hospital department management.
· Leads by example; promotes teamwork by fostering a positive, transparent, and focused working environment which achieves maximum results.
· Other duties as needed and assigned by Coding leadership, including but not limited to leading and conducting special projects. Develops project work plans, facilitates resource allocation, executes project tasks and obtains assistance from other intra and inter-departmental resources, as required.
*What you’ll need:*
*Education*: HS Diploma/ GED required. Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, health information management, or a related field, preferred.

*Experience:*3 years’ HIM/coding experience and experience working directly with IT required. IT experience is preferred.
*Certifications:*Prefer Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
