Overview
* Excellent customer service skills
* Knowledge of operation and maintenance of implanted cardiac devices and related equipment
* Ensures that OSHA and Joint Commission regulations are observed and maintained
* Ability to identify abnormal/critical findings and immediately notify physician
* Confirm daily schedule
* Perform implanted cardiac device checks by phone, office visit or remote
* Scan reports into EMR system and prepare charges
* Complete knowledge of Medicare implanted cardiac device check regulations/frequency
* Proper sterile technique in removal of sutures/staples
* Maintain necessary supplies for performance of duties
* Coordinate implanted cardiac device clinic schedule with physician visits if necessary
* Ability to communicate effectively with all departments and physicians
* Any other tasks requested by the physician or Practice Manager
* Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
*Minimum Education*
High School Graduate or Equivalent required
Bachelors Degree preferred
*Minimum Work Experience*
3-5 years of experience in functions of various types of implanted cardiac devices.
*Required Skills*
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
