Position Summary:

Provides and implements classroom and clinical instruction for students in accordance with the curriculum plan and accrediting body standards.

Provides academic guidance and counseling.

Skilled at meeting age specific needs of the patient (neonate to geriatric).

Minimum Qualifications:

· Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing or agreement to obtain within 5 years of date of hire

· Graduate courses reflective of primary curriculum assignments.

· At least twoyears full time current experience in direct patient care as a professional nurse relative to primary curriculum assignment.

· Current licensure as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

· CPR certification.

· Membership in professional organizations.

· Clinical competence and expertise of current nursing practice.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Commitment to hospital-based nursing education.

· Knowledge and use of computers.

· Basic skills in use of audiovisual equip
