**Job Summary**
Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. This internship will focus on commercialization and innovation projects that benefit our patients, team members, and communities. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.
The Innovation Intern will assist with a variety of commercialization and innovation projects to promote Sanford’s vision. They will collaborate with Innovation Strategists on innovation and commercialization projects to benefits our patients, team members, and communities. They will assist with the evaluation of Sanford Health inventions, including assessment of market opportunity, competitors, and patentability. Assist in the marketing of technologies to identify potential licensees, developing and implementing specific strategies for each technology, seeking out appropriate industry contacts, and engaging with potential partners or licensees. Aid in the negotiations for licensing agreements and other related contracts.
**Qualifications**
Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
